Traditional Viking nalbinding is a simple yet perplexing interlacement of yarns. Often mistaken for knitting or crochet, nalbinding is entirely its own craft — distinct, ancient, and endlessly rewarding. This workshop introduces students to the foundational Oslo stitch, and once that stitch is mastered, the door opens to exploring even more techniques. As with all great crafts, nalbinding is best learned one stitch at a time.
