This drop spindle pairs a canarywood whorl with a cherrywood shaft. Toot chooses the two woods to complement each other in color, grain, and weight. The 3" whorl gives steady, even momentum, and the 12" shaft leaves room to build a generous cop of yarn. It is a good choice for spinning worsted-weight to bulky singles, plying, and handspinning fiber you may have processed yourself.
