In this full-day workshop, Erika, beloved in the fiber community for her stunning art batts, pulls back the curtain on her process. You'll learn to use a drum carder with confidence, explore a range of textures and materials, and develop an eye for what works in a batt and why. From wispy and ethereal to richly textured and complex, different styles call for different approaches, and you'll get hands-on time with all of them.
One of the highlights of the day is the opportunity to work with a range of manual drum carder brands, so you can feel the differences for yourself.
You'll leave with batts you made, knowledge you can build on, and a whole new creative tool in your fiber practice. Supply fee includes all fibers and use of carders
