Spinning Textured Yarns for Weaving
Spinning yarns for tapestry opens up so many possibilities. In this workshop we will spin batts and fibers with a variety of textures. We will also use different plying techniques to achieve texture. Throughout the day we will test our yarns by weaving them on a little loom.
Experience Level: Intermediate Spinner
What you need to bring: Spinning wheel in good working order, 2-3 bobbins, ball winder if you have one, niddy noddy. I have some we can share as well. I will also have prewarped little looms available for use or you can bring your own.
Materials cost: $40. Includes spinning fibers and use of a little loom for weaving sampling. Little looms will be available for purchase for $75 after class.
